Changes to the Website

I’ve made a few updates to allow Wheelers to give feedback and share photos from recent outings.

Also, I want to encourage everyone to use the 'Rides' page for the latest ride information, as it should be the most up-to-date.

There is a new Rides Menu, which has the following options:

This Week’s Rides (default view)
Last Week’s Rides

Future Rides
Calendar
View Ride Feedback
View Ride Archive

The ‘Last Week’s Rides’ page enables any Wheelers to give feedback on recent rides. Use the View Ride Feedback to see any feedback.

The ‘Future Rides’ page enables Leaders to add ride details in advance, for example, if they are on holiday the week before a ride. 

Why your feedback matters

Your feedback will help us understand how many Wheelers are riding each week, an important measure of the club’s success and something that Cycling UK asks all clubs to report.

The Rides Organiser can uses this information to plan future programmes and make sure our rides meet members’ needs.

New riders can use your feedback to decide which rides best suit their ability and interests.

You can also upload group photos — they’re always popular and much better shared with everyone than hidden away in a WhatsApp group.

Even if you’re not leading a ride, please take a few minutes to share your feedback, it really helps the club.

You can provide your feedback by clicking the link ‘Give feedback: Update number on ride or upload photos’ for the Ride.

All fields are optional. If you don’t know the exact number, please enter your best estimate. The website will average all inputs.

It would be really great if you can write a 'Ride Report', then we could match Wheel Easy's Ride Reports

If you use Strava, please consider joining the York Wednesday Wheelers Strava club.

Use the 🔎 magnifying glass -> Clubs -> enter York Wednesday Wheelers

Click on the club name in the search results and click Join Club.

Check Your Privacy Settings

Go to Settings > Privacy Controls.

Set your Start and End Location Privacy to hide your home address.
